It has been a while since I have posted, but I am back. My Breath of Fresh, Healing Air is Faith, Strength, and Perseverance in the valley leads to a Testimony proclaiming His strength and goodness.
May 21st is a monumental day. It has been two years since my sister’s successful, bone marrow transplant. My sister lived with Sickle Cell Anemia for 20 years. It came to a point where she could not live in chronic pain forever. There were hills and valleys she experienced. Having a bone marrow transplant was a risk. There was doubt, uncertainty, and fear on all fronts but GOD is greater than human emotion. My sister persevered and believed in her healing. We stepped in faith. We believed and persevered. She came out stronger than before.
When people hear my sister’s story, they ask “How did you get through this?” Faith. Strength. Perseverance.
We, as humans, are not promised a perfect life. Jesus was the perfect man yet He suffered and died on the Cross. In spite of His suffering, Jesus had faith in His Father’s Will, Jesus had strength even though people thought He was crazy and delusional, and Jesus persevered in hills and valleys to come out strong in His Father’s Victory.
Follow the example of Jesus. Have faith that God is working on your behalf; He has a plan for your life. Ask God for strength. He will give you His strength, strength that humans cannot understand. Persevere and finish the race. Your victory is coming!!
James 1:2-4, 12 –Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
Proverbs 3:5-6 -Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Romans 5:1-4 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
