The Potter’s Process

The Potter’s Process

The Potter forms the disfigured, lump of clay

Shaping, molding, remodeling its features

Removing portions and excess

Creating a masterpiece in His image

Though it takes time and patience, the Potter still molds

The clay may be stubborn and difficult, yet the Potter persists molding

The masterpiece is finished

The Potter is pleased and smiles

Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.-Isaiah 64:8

Trace Your Steps

Trace Your Steps

In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.-Proverbs 16:9

My mom always tells me it’s fine to have a plan but don’t ever allow yourself to lose sight of God’s greater plan. When I was 17, I thought that I would have a career, husband, and children by 30. My tracing was type-A and psycho talk, “God, here is what you need to do for me.” I wanted to control everything and disregard God’s direction. I wanted to trace my life for my glory.

My patient, merciful Savior decided to indulge my psycho plans and throw it out the window. He says to me (and to His children), “I already traced your path. You need to get in line with my plan or suffer the consequences.” God orchestrates and traces the ways and means from Point A and Point B. You are not in control. I am not in control. God has done so much in the past 26 years of my life. I am thankful for my traced path. I will be a law school graduate in December and what is next…I do not have a clue except taking the Bar. I still have control issues but I am a work in progress.

It’s fine to have dreams. God knows your heart and mine. Allow God to trace and establish your life. You will be so surprised how perfect His tracing is compared to ours.

A Breath of Fresh, Sacrificial Air

A Breath of Fresh, Sacrificial Air

Jesus displayed the ultimate sacrifice when He died on the Cross. The bomb of sin and destruction detonated humanity since the Fall of Man. In spite of that, Jesus used himself to save humanity. The bomb of sin and destruction could not overcome the power of Jesus.

The closest thing to Jesus’s sacrifice is the servicemen and servicewomen who have fought and died and still fight so Americans can live freely. The enemies’ intentions to detonate and destroy could not be matched to the men and women in uniform. God used them and we must never forget their sacrifice. No matter what your beliefs are, we should remember our military brothers and sisters who gave up their lives to keep us safe.

A Kind Impression Lesson

A Kind Impression Lesson

Being a kind person is not expensive. It is not a form of weakness but a sign of character. No matter where you are in life, treat people with respect because you never know when you may need them down the road. You never know who you can impact. You never know what someone is going through. The world needs more kindness and love now more than ever. Make a positive impression on the world; it has enough critics.

A Breath of Fresh, Healing Air

A Breath of Fresh, Healing Air

Hi Friends,

It has been a while since I have posted, but I am back. My Breath of Fresh, Healing Air is  Faith, Strength, and Perseverance in the valley leads to a Testimony proclaiming His strength and goodness.

May 21st is a monumental day. It has been two years since my sister’s successful, bone marrow transplant. My sister lived with Sickle Cell Anemia for 20 years.  It came to a point where she could not live in chronic pain forever. There were hills and valleys she experienced. Having a bone marrow transplant was a risk. There was doubt, uncertainty, and fear on all fronts but GOD is greater than human emotion. My sister persevered and believed in her healing. We stepped in faith. We believed and persevered. She came out stronger than before.

When people hear my sister’s story, they ask “How did you get through this?” Faith. Strength. Perseverance.

We, as humans, are not promised a perfect life. Jesus was the perfect man yet He suffered and died on the Cross. In spite of His suffering, Jesus had faith in His Father’s Will, Jesus had strength even though people thought He was crazy and delusional, and Jesus persevered in hills and valleys to come out strong in His Father’s Victory.

Follow the example of Jesus. Have faith that God is working on your behalf; He has a plan for your life. Ask God for strength. He will give you His strength, strength that humans cannot understand. Persevere and finish the race. Your victory is coming!!

James 1:2-4, 12 –Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

Proverbs 3:5-6 -Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Romans 5:1-4 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.  Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;  perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Blissfully,

Bianca

A Breath of Fresh, Prudent Air

A Breath of Fresh, Prudent Air

Being prudent is more than knowing more than the person next to you. Life is more than being the sharpest crayon in the box.

God gives the standard of prudence in His Word. Longevity and prudent character comes from God.

The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel: for gaining wisdom and instruction; for understanding words of insight; for receiving instruction in prudent behavior, doing what is right and just and fair; for giving prudence to those who are simple, knowledge and discretion to the young—let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance—for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.-Proverbs 1:1-7

Being prudent is acknowledging Jesus as the foundation and compass to your life, listening to the wise people who have come before you and giving the wisdom to the next generation, being fair to others, having discernment in different situations, and continuing to seek wisdom.

Being prudent is a process. One of the definitions of prudent means acting with or showing care and thought for the future. I am learning more and gaining more wisdom and knowledge as I grow in my faith and age. God gives His wisdom and instruction freely but one has to be willing to listen. So I encourage you to listen, discern, and live the way God wants you to live.

A Breath of Fresh Air

A Breath of Fresh Air

There are many times where I get lost in life. I lose myself and allow self destruction to make me feel inadequate. It is only the Enemy’s scheme is steal, kill, and destroy my joy.

With Jesus, He calls you and me, Beloved. He provides for all our needs. He makes us whole. He is everything and more. He takes the broken pieces and our mess and gives us grace, peace, mercy, and purpose.

No matter where you are or how broken you feel, Jesus still loves and values you. You can never go wrong with following God.

The Nuance of Humanity

The Nuance of Humanity

Society tends to pin a person’s color with their value.

But God made man in His Image.

He fearfully and wonderfully made us in all shades and colors.

He fearfully and wonderfully made us uniquely.

He made a nuance of humanity.

He did not make one better than the other.

God is greater and the human race is sinful.

But Jesus came distinctly to save us.

No matter where we are,  Jesus still died for you and me.

So you are a beautiful nuance of the Creator of the Universe.

A Breath of Fresh Air

A Breath of Fresh Air

Vivid

My Breath of Fresh Air is Trust that Your Circumstances will get Better with God’s Help and Guidance.

I say this because I am currently struggling with this. I am having to learn to trust that where I am 62675570cd34e8cedc30bc9ef946c6b2is where God wants me to be. I have found myself anxious…as usual. I think it is because even though I am graduating in December, the great beyond (i.e. taking the Bar and finding employment) has been lingering. My peers are heading into their futures and I feel left behind. Then, I question my path and then doubt sets in. And the downward spiral of doubt keeps going.

BUT my path is already known to the Creator. He can see the vivid landscape of my life. I have had to read Scripture and be encouraged by my parents of the promises of God.  So I encourage you all to rely on the promises of God. Whatever issues you are going through, God is not blind to them. Follow His lead (because we all know that if we lead, we mess it up). Wherever you are, there is a purpose. I still have to remember those truths so do not get discouraged. Obediently follow the vivid path God has laid out.

Here’s what God says about our path:

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”-Joshua 1:9

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.-2 Corinthians 4:7-9

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.-Proverbs 3:5-6

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.-James 1:2-5

There is more truth in His Word for you. Hang in there, friends. God’s got us.

Blissfully,

Bianca

A Breath of Fresh Love

A Breath of Fresh Love

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.-1 Corinthians 13:1-3

Love should be the language you use to live life. Authentic love comes from God. From your heart stems everything you do.

Jesus is the standard of love. If you read the Bible, you see that Jesus did perform miracles and He had compassion which made the difference. He loved the “sinners” where they were.  He told the “sinners” you don’t have to be where you are; you can be better.  He rebuked the bullies, dusted the “sinner” off, encouraged them, and called them to live as free in Christ Jesus.

Don’t be a clanging cymbal saying Jesus is Love when you treat your neighbor like trash. It is superficial, fake, and not the message of Christ. You do not have to do a grand act.  Show respect. Listen to others. Don’t curse and bully people on social media. The list goes on and on. Have the right intentions to love and serve others. God said it clearly: If you do not have love, you gain nothing.

Blissfully,

Bianca
